About The Finance Focus
The Finance Focus is a financial literacy club.
With the recent developments in Ghana’s financial market, we realized that the knowledge of many investors is limited due to the restricted flow of information. As a result, the investing public often relates well with anything they hear, which eventually leads to putting money into unsuitable or even fraudulent financial products. Every investor has unique needs, and those needs should determine the financial products that suit them best.
Who We Were / How We Started
The Finance Focus began in March 2019 with a mission to help the youth understand financial concepts, financial products, and financial services.
Our work focused on:
- Developing frameworks to build the capacity of investors to make informed financial decisions.
- Speaking at seminars, unions, associations, and club meetings.
- Conducting mass outreach programs at targeted locations.
We were particularly interested in the youth, with our efforts directed toward:
- Universities and Colleges of Education
- Nursing and Midwifery Colleges
- Other tertiary and professional institutions
- Senior High Schools
Transitioning to an Investment Club
Now, The Finance Focus is transitioning into an investment club. This new phase will build on our foundation of financial literacy by providing practical investment opportunities and a supportive community for members to apply their knowledge.
Our goal is to move beyond education into hands-on empowerment, where members not only learn about finance but also practice investing responsibly and strategically.
